Reflections on Reflections

Is the person in the mirror you or a reflection of you? Is the character in the book a reflection of the author? And which is more 'real': the person/character or the reflection?

Well. I've been thinking about reflections lately.

Maybe those musings will be reflected in the upcoming book (in 2012.)

You are real . . .aren't you?

  1. I am real! You have me pegged. You betcha! I think you are reflected in your writing. You write from what you know and have a personality or style that can't help but come out. It would take a strong effort to not include the personal things.

  5. The word "reflection" itself is thought-provoking...it has so many meanings and facets. I think it's wonderful how stories are a reflection of the author, but also a place for readers to find a reflection of themselves.
I'm so looking forward to your next book! Does 2012 seem far away, or do you still have many deadlines to meet?

  7. They are all very real but in their own dimension. The one that is most real becomes apparent as the plot develops. : )

  9. Nothing to do with reality and reflections, but I just wanted to say I love your odd little mirror that's shaped like a church window. Is there a story behind it?

  10. K.T. I don't know the story behind the 'church' mirror–only that I found it in a Southport, NC, shop.
